Additional amenities: 1 parking space inside building, washing machine, ceiling and standing fans (when doors are open, the fresh breeze gets to the apartment making it very pleasant). Note that since temperatures in Santa Marta range between 85-95 °F / 27-37 °C, there is no need for hot water in the showers.

What is the lease cost?

Depends on the season and the length of the stay. Look at the pricing table for better references. Prices change according to the tourist season. In Colombia, the highest seasons are December due to the religious holidays, Easter week, and summer due to most schools being on vacation during that time. Discounts and returns upon cancellations also get affected by seasonal cost. 

There is a minimum of 1 month stay up to 10 months stay. Discounts apply if staying over 4 months.

The base line utility cost is included for $100/mth. However, in Colombia energy bills are very expensive. I use a threshold that will be included in the lease price, and if exceeded, I will take it from the security deposit for less than 3 months lease. For more than 3 months’ lease, any amount over the threshold will be billed directly to you. 

Yes, a typical deposit of one month will be required for leases over 4 months. For less than 3 months’ leases, 20% of total cost is required for security deposit.

Yes. Regarding the season and length of stay you are leasing for, there are discounts. These discounts are updated monthly. Check our Leasing rates and discount table.

Because the leasing market is affected heavily according to the season, cancellation policies reflect a scale based on advance notice and the season that was rented for. Yes. The apartment comes with an indoor parking space in case you need a rental.

While the beach is not private, the apartment is in a reserved, residential place, making it a very peaceful place away from high tourist beaches. However, during high season, you can expect to see more people, music, and vendors.  

In general, the location is very kids’ friendly as it is in a residential place. The apartment is also conditioned for kids. The balconies are protected with a very thin net, which makes it kid’s friendly. 

Inside the building is very safe, as there is a guard 24/7 and security cameras. It is very traditional in Colombia to leave the doors of the apartments open while you are in the apartment, so fresh air circulates throughout the apartment. This makes the apartment very fresh and cool during the day. It is also very convenient to save energy. The balconies also have a very thin net that brings extra protection and safety to the apartment. However, precautions are always necessary as there are other apartments that are rented for tourism purposes. So, don’t leave your purse near the open door. 

Yes. At the end of your stay, please complete the survey on the website and tell me how your stay was. I will do all I can to meet your needs and challenges that you may find during your stay if mentioned timely. If you were not at least 80% satisfied, you will get 10-20% back as long as it is a reasonable and properly handled complaint.
